Virtual Spring Dinner Celebration - April 26-30, 2021

40 Years of Doing Good!

The Samaritan Center has worked hard to fight hunger in the greater Syracuse community by providing nutritious meals paired with case management support and access to services that help our guests move on to a more positive future. This year marks our 40th year in the community. Through these years of service, our volunteers have been by our side, sharing their time, love, and kindness to make this work possible. Each year our spring dinner raises awareness about hunger in our community while recognizing the contributions of outstanding good Samaritans in our community. It is with gratitude and pride that on our 40th Anniversary that we recognize the contributions of our volunteers past and present. Each volunteer has brought a passion and compassion that creates the community of caring that is fundamental to the Samaritan Center and our guests. We are truly fortunate to have so many of these kind and caring volunteers within our organization.

Due to COVID-19 and restrictions of group gatherings, this year's 40th Year Celebration and Raise the Plate Spring Dinner will take place as virtual events during the week of April 26th - 30th. Our celebration kicks off with our first Giving Day on Monday, April 26th.  On Giving Day and we are encouraging Samaritan Center friends, families and followers to come together to donate at least $40 within 24 hours to reach our goal of $40,000. On Wednesday, April 28th we will launch our Virtual Silent Auction featuring at least 40 fabulous items that our donors can begin to bid.  And on Friday, April 30th our celebration concludes with our Raise the Plate Virtual Dinner recognizing the contributions of our volunteers over 40 years.  Attendees can purchase a ticket for a takeout dinner of their choice from three local restaurants while celebrating our honorees and directly supporting and helping those struggling with hunger in our community.   For more information, tickets, and to donate go to
