Creating a Bowl to Make a Difference.

The Samaritan Center of Syracuse would like to invite local schools and art studios in Syracuse to partner in this program and effort to feed the hungry and help us serve those in need – One Bowl at a Time.

Here is how the program works.  Art classes or studios design painted bowls, paintings, or clay projects during the school year.  These creative items are displayed at school concerts or other open house events to raise money and awareness for the Samaritan Center.  This program is student and faculty driven, and so far, several local schools have participated and raised over $3000 for the Samaritan Center. Each dollar raised provides one meal for a person in need... one bowl at a time.

Any way that schools choose to participate will be welcome! If the school has supplies that they would like to use and donate to the cause, that's great! If not, the Samaritan Center has pre-made ceramic bowls that could be decorated by students and staff, or suplliers that are willing to donate clay to the fundraising project.
